There are several aspects to marketing a website which we can help you with.

SEO / PPC

We build our sites with on-site Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) in mind, and are happy to explain the theory of SEO, which really isn't rocket science.

Too often people end up being blinded by buzzwords and enter poor quality and expensive SEO contracts they don't understand. There is nothing in SEO that should be confusing to the site owner, who should be able to judge what they are paying for and understand the risks involved in any attempts to manipulate the rankings.

Often site owners will be better off simply buying adverts on Google or Social Media with Pay-Per-Click (PPC), where it is clear what you are getting for your money, without any risk of a penalty.

Whilst we believe a site owner should be able to run an effective PPC campaign on their own, we are happy to work with you and/or evaluate any proposals you are given should you decide to out-source this work to a third party.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is software that allows you to see how people are using your site. This can provide very good feedback on what is working or not working. We can set up and show you how to use it.

If there are any specific actions you wish to measure (e.g. product sales), then we can configure Analytics to measure this for you.

Google Analytics is a very powerful system, so be cautious of anyone wanting to add additional trackers to your site - often this is a sign they do not know how to configure it properly, and having too many trackers can slow down a site.

A/B testing

Often marketing ideas are simply never tested.

If your site has enough users and you wish to test an idea, it is possible to show the new version to half your users only and analyse the data to see if it actually works.

Social Media

We can add links and widgets from any social media accounts to your website, as well as implementing any more technical ideas.

As with SEO, there are a lot of people who promise the world in social media marketing, and we believe it is worth making yourself aware of the basic theory before entering into any contracts.

From personal observation, social media profiles run in-house are far more likely to be knowledgeable, factually accurate and personal, which is usually what people are looking for when they decide to follow you. However, we appreciate that not everyone has time to do this. In such cases, we are happy to look over contracts and advise you on any potential problems.

Viral Marketing

We can code any competitions / quizzes and interactive features that you think might attract people to your site, or work with your marketing team to bring their ideas to fruition.
